SATURDAY, AUGUST 30TH, 2025 -- PARROT HEADS ON THE PARKWAY EXPLORER PARK -- 4:00 PM-9:00 PM. Escape to an island state of mind at the Parrot Heads on the Parkway, a brand new Jimmy Buffet Themed Celebration set on the lawn outside Twin Creeks Brewpub at Explorer Park. Bring your beach chairs, dress in your best tropical gear, and spend the evening soaking up live music, cold drinks and good vibes. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the gate (if available). Tickets go on sale July 1st. Live music line up: The Shoobies, 4:00 PM-5:30 PM, kick things off with surf rock and 90s island vibes. 6:00 PM-9:00 PM, Capt. Mike and The Shipwrecked, full blown tribute to Jimmy Buffett and the sounds of Margaritaville.
Reminder that your 2025 PHBR Dues are due. It is still only $10 per person for the year. You can pay at the monthly meeting, at a social, online at http://www.phbr.org then go to the members sections and follow the directions or mail it to Parrot Heads of the Blue Ridge c/o Greg Jakubowski, 570 Masons Knob Road, Boones Mill, VA 24065-4099. Please fill out the attached membership form when renewing your membership.
